in the 70s and eighties Analog electronics was superior to digital electronics, but things have changed now.
This DSO can store a waveform like a chart recorder, I think it has 4kb ram for each channel storage. then you move the the time axis like you scroll a paper. It has fantastic trigger options. They claim that bandwidth is greater than 5MHz.
It is open source with schematics, source code etc. every now and then they come up with software upgrade adding new features.

I don't have the time to test it thoroughly since I'm working on two projects at the same time, but I will keep adding observations as I use it.
I will test it using nano second pulses as I'm working on designing a cheap laser range finder using laser pointer and see if it can display short pulses.
