That voltage is very dangerous to work with. use step down transformer to provide isolation and safe low voltage to work with.
There is no easy way in life, you have to struggle to make things work, the more work you do, the more experience you get, then you start making things with less effort.
If you don't want to dirty your hands, you can buy a smart voltmeter that does all kinds of measurement for you then interface it to the microcontroller.
