In these scope plots I've inserted a .2 ohm resistor into each of the center taps of the stepper and measured voltage across it using AC differential mode.

Scope 011.jpg This plot is motor at 126 RPM or 420 steps/sec. 2V/div @ 1mS

Scope 013.jpg This plot is motor at 279 RPM or 930 steps/sec. 2V/div @ .5mS

Scope 015.jpg motor is idle .5V/div @ .5ms

Once again, this system uses the same 5.1V zener, 100 ohm resistor and IRL540N with FR303 protection diodes and no free wheel diode.
