If you have referenced the signal ground of stepper motor controller circuit (0V) to protection earth by a direct connection somewhere, then, when touching any point of your motor controller circuit by the ground tip of scope, which is also earthed (in the scope), this will short circuit this point to 0V, unless you touch 0V. Do you have a connection to protection earth within your motor controller? Where do you get the supply voltage from? Kai |
