These plot are of the system I'm running now, all chopping is done in firmware.

The top trace is the gate signal to IRL540N 5V/Div @ 1mS
The bottom trace is the drain pin of IRL540N 20V/Div


Scope 006.jpg This plot shows motor running at 126 RPM or 420 steps/sec. Current through fuse measures 4.47 Amps

Scope 007.jpg This plot shows motor running at top speed of 279 RPM or 930 steps/sec. Current measures 2.58 Amps

Scope 008.jpg This plot shows motor standing at idle. Current is .31 Amps
