#181497 - NXP 8051s Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Most of the 'new' Euro NXP devices have 4 digits, eg
P89LPC9103 Microcontroller with 1KB 3V flash, 8-bit ADC, UART interface This comes in HVSON-10, so I guess SO8 is too big for new designs ? The V660 family still has V662/664, and they highlight the P89V51Rx2 series, with a Nov 2009 data sheet. What IS (relatively) new from NXP, are the Asian designed LPC98x and LP97x devices These are wider-vcc, and so remove the annoying Low voltage limitation of the earlier LP9 families. Avnet show these from $0.8462/500+ Moving to NXP-M0 is more wishful thinking, as they do not have 5V parts. However, that M0 advice is not all bad, if you do want look at 32 bits/8051 migration, then Nuvoton are probably the best. Unlike NXP they DO have 5V (!) M0 models, and they are showing in stock at Digikey. http://search.digikey.com/scripts/D...&k=nuvoton Click on NuMicro M051, start at $1.156/1000 - Eval from sub $20. These parts have a ALE pin, so are designed to also slot into off-chip designs. Wide supply tolerance is the new 'market expander'. The new Atmel AT89LP51/52 are also wide Vcc. |
