Some of the "nifty" boards requires you to fight to get access to the raw processor pins without interference from the "nifties". Another thing is that many of the cheap kits can be used for prototyping, so you consume the kit for the prototype. Having payed for excess hardware is then just a waste of money and a larger kit may mean you need a larger box with higher current consumption for your prototype. |
