It's hard to switch terminology, or to teach old dogs to sit.

In swedish, I regularly use the word "tape" instead of the neutral "record". One reason might possibly be that "record" gets translated to two words "spela in", making it slower to say. In english, I prefer the neutral "record" for sound and "film" for capturing moving images.
