Sorry, but you totally misunderstood me.

My point was NOT contradicting you, but simply to emphsize that this discussion could have installed a great fear in a learner.

Pointers are NOT difficult once you grasp the concept, the same goes for riding a bike.
In leaning anything there will be things more difficult than others, but skipping them becaue they are a "big problem" is about the worst approach imaginable.
