Modern PCs don't have serial ports, just usb. with this module you build a virtual serial port which produces TTL rs232. Nothing stopping you from connecting a short cable to test.
You can use a terminal program on PCs and connect this module to rf module directly or through a uC and test the communications link instantly, no programming on windows side is required.
