#189348 - Technical or semantics Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Dear Abhishek,
I used to be a frequent visitor of this forum some years back but have now kind off stopped as it started getting more focussed on semantics and queries-for-queries pattern ! If one were so clear on what he wants, most times the queries vanish as he also would know where to look for answers. I saw your first mail and of course I can fully relate to your dilemma on starting out on a new skill set. Erik has been fantastic in guiding you and I am sure you are more clear a person on the topic now. My small advice would be : Start with 8 Bit ( possibly the MCS51 for which this forum has enormous resources )and get a development kit. There are now good kits available in the Indian market. One such is the UNI-SDK-51 which supports both the Philips and Atmel 8 bit MCUs. Costs around INR 4000/- and I have used it. Good one with all required interfaces for a beginner. See more about it here : http://www.ucmicrosys.com/products/development-tools/uni-51-sdk.html I am sure you can easily get it in Mumbai. Good luck. Raghu |
