Hey Raghu,

Yes, I was seeing things getting complicated, Erik's direction was very helpful. Other's highlighted the complexities, which I should consider once I get atleast some mastery.

I have already decided to start with MCS51, now the challenge was to choose a good development kit. Erik's recommendations on dev-boards are great, but hard to find in Mumbai. I mean, it costs around Rs.8k to 11k on import, so its making me confused.

I just checked UNI-51-SDK, its available in Mumbai at Rs.3900, too good for me. I think its a good place to start in a shortest time. Thanks for answering.

Do you have any suggesstions on study materials?
