SILabs only.

the one thing in the '51 family that is always different is Programming.

the only device that will program them all is a parallel programmer that will cost you ~$1000

at least, SILabs program all chips with the same device NXP, Atmel, ... does not even have the same programming method for all chips.

Anyhow, for learning, if a chip does not specify ISP or JTAG do not even consider it.
