Hey guys,
I would like to thank each one of you, who all participated in this thread.
This thread educated me a lot.

I think I shall be starting wtih something simple. Its availability in India and cost should also be a concern to me.
I am sure there will be mistakes, but without that, I don't think there is other ways to learn more.

My intention is to understand uC, so that I can integrate it with relevant motors and modules to achieve things practically. I think simple atmel uC do work best with it too and they are seriously cheaper.
