It's more important that you learn skills, principles, and techniques than try to "stick to" any particular technology.

It is more valuable to learn how to learn than to just memorise facts.

It's not what you know that matters - it's that you know how to find out!

With a solid foundation on the principles, you should have little difficulty picking up the detail of other architectures...

The same goes for the guy asking about "Java [or] .NET?"
