There is another problem with the code produced by the configuration wizard. It produces code only for changes in the SFRs from their power-on reset values. There are a certain class of applications where firmware recovery needs to be done that requires re-initialization without the benefit of an intermediate reset. In these cases it is important for the firmware to include setting all SFRs not touched by config wizard code back to default values.
