#182845 - And the TB version as well Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The SiLabs development kits for their various families of parts generally have a part number that ends with "DK" for, as you can guess, 'development kit'. These are the box kits that include the development board, the USB debug adapter, a USB cable, a 9V wall-wart power supply and the SiLabs CD with documentation, SiLabs IDE and Config tool, and trial versions of C compiler tool sets from several vendors.
From some retailers it is also possible to purchase the development board all by itself for applications where you need a replacement or boards to embed into a test setup of some sort. These are listed with part numbers that end with a "TB" for 'test board'. These boards are considerably cheaper than the development kit packages. If you have already purchased several development kits and feel that you have plenty of wall-warts, CDs, debug adapters and USB cables it can often be the way to go to setup for development on another SiLabs part family.
