I've had a project where I wanted 6 PWM outputs and two UARTs on an NXP LPC2294. Unfortunately one UART always overlapped with one of the PWM outputs. So I had to drop one PWM output in favor of the second UART. Had this chip had a crossbar like SiLabs I would have had no problem.
