Methinks that the logic required to implement particular features might be "better" in the deviates, meaning simpler/smaller/faster and likely cheaper.

The good news is that Silicon Labs' documentation is better than most so as long as one takes the time to actually read it then the differences are not difficult to deal with.

Now that SFR page register in the F120 is annoying me, but such is life.
