You buy the board to develop some stuff, you don't really need to see it doing tricks, you don't really need to get a 'feel for it' which is why I don't understand peoples concerns about the quality of the demo software which very rarely anything to do with what you wantto do with the thing anyway.
Clearly if the demo won't even install properly then that indicates what you can expect from the rest of the thing.
