After all, they don't know what's "close enough." Well, if you knew anything about this chip, you'd realize that there's a PLL inside that requires a 6.00 MHz oscillator. This PLL is used to generate the USB clocks, which must be at a particular frequency. So changing it to 5.9908 MHz or whatever other arbitrary oscillator will break the design. -a |
