And in the lofty realms of academia those people who repond well to such a climate are often autistic type personalities, take one autistic person who is extremely gifted, feed him into a university which is entirely cut off from the real world for three years, pat him on the head and send him off into the real world is a diasaster waiting to happen.The companies who cluster round places like cambridge because they can pick up these gifted people do nothing to counteract the autistic traits so you get a concentration of highly girfted people who you wouldnt trust to look after a dog without killing it.
