#112167 - Fresh graduates Job interview |
I've been interviewing fresh graduates ( mostly engineers) for over 3 years now for jobs, and I can hardly find one that is good. My bosses think I'm difficult and make fun of new graduates.
Is this universal or is it the education system these days. Looks like no body wants to be an engineer so they pass everybody. I interviewed not only people graduated locally but 2 or 3 people freshly graduate from UK, USA EU etc and they all were very weak also. Samples of the question I ask : 1. Is a D.C. motor single phase or three phase? ANS: it is 3 phase of course. 2. Can't you find a single phase D.C. motor? ANS no. 3. Do you know what an OPAMP is? ANS No because I only took electronics II at university and OP AMPs are given at electronics III. 4. Do you know what a transistor is? Ans Yes 5. What are the transistor types? ANS JFET 6. Anything els? Ans ..... No clue 7. Do you know what transistors pins are called? ANS Emitter and .... no Idea 8. do you know what is microprocessor? Ans yes 9. WHat is the difference between microprocessor and microcontroller? ANS no idea and the list goes on from power electronics to components to logic to common sense. I wonder how they pass students these days! What do you think? Mahmood |
