Compiler won't hep if you have poor CPU. I checked the other vendors of the 8051 like architectures and everyone published the Drystone v2.1 C benchmark with their CPU. Result are objective, since run with the same CPU and compiler, so binary code is identical. Info about used DPTRs and other enhancements is also given so there is no reason to comply that results are not objective.
Have you ever seen this code? Dhrystone v2.1 is the industry standard benchmark program written in C. So talking about ASM code is really pitiful, and only suggestd that you don't know what you are talking about. |
