#178615 - Yes these heaters need Soft start Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hello Prof. Kai Klass,

The heater is blowing, but not the electronics??
Is the heater overheating because the electronics does not turn-off the heater after reaching the end temperature?? That is true, the Controller or its components are NOT damaged but the heater coil becomes open circuit. And the controller gives 30% of the Mains Voltage to the Heater. This is measured and verified. Kai Klaas said: Yes, after reading so many reviews in this thread, I think these heaters and the system does need a Soft Start.
Does the heater need a soft start, when totally cold??
Kai Klaas said: Soft Start,or NOT, I need to control the voltage and the current to the heater. At present I do not have current feedback in this system, I believe, I need to add this.
Do you really need a phase angle control?? Isn't this overkill due to the large thermal inertia?? Thanks Prof. Kai Klass for your valuable information. |
