 		 #178585 - What is the reason for Heater blowing.
Hi all,
I have developed a product using AT89C2051.
This device controls the power to the heater using a TRIAC, through MOC3021.
For the last 2 years this circuit is working good in the field. This product is being manufactured since then.

About 2 months back, there is a problem noted in these controllers, that the Heaters are failing. The customer says it is because of the problem of the controller. If a controller from another make is used, then this problem is not seen. I do not have (and I don't want to )access to the circuit of those controllers. But the report is that, those controllers are working fine, no damage to the heater. But if my controller is installed, then the heater becomes open.

What could be the possible reasons for the heater blowing OFF?
