Thanks All, for replying so fast.
There is a Zero crossing circuit, and TRIAC is fired in each half cycle, and depending upon the Error (SetValue-PresentValue) the firing angle is changed. So the heater is not fired at Zero-Cross. The heater is supposed to be strictly resistive. The shape of the heater is a straight pipe; no coils. But how do I identify whether it is inductive or not? The Heater Current is Maximum 20 Amps.@ 230VAC, 50 Hz. |
