#178604 - soft start
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Does the heater need a soft start, when totally cold??
I, previously posted "rarer starts" for the same reason, no doubt "soft start" would be better.

Too many/too hard starts is, in my opinion the most likely reason to blow heater coils.

Do you really need a phase angle control?? Isn't this overkill due to the large thermal inertia??
I can not visualize any reason not to use zero crossing, and many to use it.
