Everyone needs help at some point and whether its here or somewhere else, playing the high and mighty card.....uncool....and unnecessary. But spoon-feeding the ones who have made no effort at all is no help to anyone! Look at these recent examples on the Keil forum: http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread15597.asp http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread15592.asp http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread15583.asp Do you honestly beleive that these are diligent students, keen to work hard on their assignments? Do you have kids, Chris? If so, do they ever ask you for help with their homework? Mine do, and it would often be easier to just take it off them and do it myself rather than spend time explaining the stuff so that they can do it themsleves - but who would that help?! Yes I do, 3, of course they do. I make them work it out, but I sure as hell don't belittle them in the process, and if I have to explain it 15 times to ensure they get it right.......then damn it that is what will be done......because they learn by instruction and doing.......not belittling them or making them feel inadequate. It's funny because the way people talk on an Internet forum is so far from how they would in person. Probably because if they ever tried that in person, most of there teeth would be in a pile in the back of their mouth. But hey, this is the Internet, and everyone has to flex somewhere I guess. |
