#169029 - Not so fast, Chris ... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I believe there's general agreement about what Jez says. It's terribly annoying to have to wade through queries with stupid titles like "problem" or "help me" which make it obvious the poster hasn't read the exhortation to put meaningful titles on his query, or that he simply doesn't care about protocol. You may, in fact, fit that model, since you seemingly believe you deserve to have someone else solve your problem for you when you're too lazy to take the 10 seconds to GOOGLE it yourself.
As Jez has made abundantly clear, most of us have other things to do, and certainly grow tired of the same sorts of silly problems and disrespectful attitudes. It's not that anyone's high and mighty, but when I ask someone for help, I don't argue with them. I try to take advantage of what they tell me, and, if I don't like it, well, I don't have to take their advice. I just thank 'em and move on. Nonetheless, we all tire of the same old homework problems submitted by people too dumb or too lazy to do their own work. Verbally beating them up is the only option. They have no reset button, and they're probably only alive because it's illegal to terminate them. They're just a terrible waste of skin, and of oxygen, of which others less lazy could make better use. They should be ashamed of using up resources that others could use productively. You've demonstrated your own attitude parallels theirs. I'm ashamed to be of the same species ... hopefully that's not the case. RE |
