#149960 - not as much 'share' as market Responding to: ???'s previous message |
MS is losing market share--the only significant "sales" of Vista are due to preinstallation on new computers (the majority of which get wiped and the users install XP).
I do not think Hasta la Vista has made Microsoft lose "market share", the percentage of new computers shipped with a Microsoft product installed is probably about the same as before Hasta la Vista. However, I recall that when XP had stabliized we all flocked to do an upgrade from NT or whatever and that market market, not market share the Gatesians definitely have lost. Coming to think about it is it not that the Gatesians alternate between usable and awful. anyone remember W2000 (the one between '98 and XP) Erik |
