The only open source argument of these is "occasional patches", I have provided "ideas, suggestions, and occasional error reports" to many suppliers, and most have been implemented. We were talking about FOSS, not just 8052s. FOSS? is that what you clean between the teeth with? Yeah. The typical desktop would be based on 68K architecture instead of that crappy CPU from Intel ;-) Now we DO disagree. I do not have any reason to find the Pentium 'crappy'. The only major 'fault' I find with Intel is the hits they take in order to be backwards compatible. That, however will have enormous advantages for many others, so I do not complain. Erik |
