Would that not be a natural result of open source? Anybody and his brother can add what they want and an oft forgotten fact is that while a 'feature' you do not use does not use any power, BUT all the places where a test "is this in use" is found DO consume power.

Also, I can see that a source that is manhandled all over the world will not have the same conceptual integrity as a source the is generated by a closely knit group.
