How many CPUs have you designed? Any of them successful?
If there were some money behind designing super cpu's, I would be designing cpu's believe me, however feel free to have a go yourself using the common flash fpga chips, but beware of expensive compiler tools which essentially design it for you, ha ha The other day, I contacted my chinese pal's in H.K. and ordered 100 AT89C51ED2's chips at $3.00 a piece, can't see any logic in designing my own cpu, price wise can you? Darren I didn't ask whether it was more economically feasible to design a CPU or buy COTS. You trivialized the effort in designing a CPU, so I asked if you had ever designed one. Your irrelevant reply indicates that the answer is most likely 'no'. Unless you've done something, it's generally not wise to trivialize the efforts of those who have. |
