Forth is better for controller applications than BASIC. Moreover, it's free! How does that strike ya? 'C' is better for nearly everything, and it (SDCC) is free! There's also a Pascal51 that, when I got it, was free. I'm not sure it still is. Clearly those are better, since they cost less. (Remember when you said it was better because it costs less?) RE Hi Richard, I've had a few ales tonight, but I certainly wouldn't right someone off just because they smoked the odd spliff, that said It must be about 5 years ago that I last saw a spliff, quite frankly insignificance is getting in the way discussion so lets leave the spliffs alone for now. Getting back to the main subject matter, I don't except free compiler web downloads because usually such programs are riddled with bugs, software programs are ambiguious to say the least theres no need to add to that ambiguity with buggy free compilers.
