Here's a guy who says, "Bascom isn't cutting it. There are too many unanswered questions, and not enough examples and help."
http://www.avrfreaks.net/index.php...torder=asc Didn't see anyone trying to persuade him to stick with BASCOM - but plenty of 'C' recommendations! Hi Andy, Yeah, Yeah, I get your point, the manual for Bascom 8051 and AVR is very poor, agreed! I often tear my hair out trying to get it's syntax correct through the usual process of illimination( please excuse my spelling mistakes). Nevertheless, it is a great opportunity for someone to write a professional english book regarding bascom 8051 and AVR use. But give the creator of bascom some credit, his product(s) are excellent but trying to market such a product in say 8 different languages kind of complicates matters don't you think? I don't have a problem with C except for it's complicated syntax(difficult to remember) but more important, is it's high price. Best Regards Darren Darren |
