Digital phones do inject comfort noise into the earpiece during silent periods just to make the user not feel that the phone has stopped working,same reason there is some cross talk between the microphone and speaker in a normal phone and I sure hearing aids do the same thing,although my dad says that when he tried one he found being able to hear high frequency noises again very distracting especialy when driving as he was so used to not being able to hear traffic and so on. |
