I'll basically tell the same as Kai.
My grandpa had the "pocket" type of hearing aid (some 20 years ago) and he had an "adapter" for the phone - it was a coil (in some nice round piece of plastic) to be placed beneath the phone and it plugged into the hearing aid. Of course the phones then had a transformer which is missing from there today; nevertheless I would try to eliminate the intermediate electrical-signal-to-sound-to-signal-again step. You cannot influence the distortions introduced by the other party's phone and the phone company, that's inevitable so try to eliminate as many sources of imperfections on your side as possible. Btw. the earpieces in modern phones are usually the cheapest piezo-crap, it would be a miracle if the hearing aid would "repair" what they scream out. JW |
