and keep it good for the remaining 99% - I do not think so. We have thread upon thread here where someone writes "how can they charge $$$$ for $ worth of compoinents? the answer is "know-how". If no "know-how" was involved, would I pay $60 for $20 worth of components in a SMPS 1000 times a month? I do not think so. DO NOT offer me a design, we have been through at least 20. When hearing aids were a new thing (and the manufacturers had not yet developed "knoiw-how") my uncle went through, who knows how many hearing aids, and all had something he could not handle, it does not matter if Ralph is making one or planning production, without "know-how" he will not get a satsfactory product. I know this is in contradiction to Jan's "don't scare him" and, if Ralph decides to go ahead anyhow, I wish him luck, but he will have to be prepared for many disappointments. Erik |
