You are right, Jan. We don't know how high the voltage of his "unregulated 12V source" actually is, we don't know what Anurag means by "very very little warm" and we don't know how small his "small heat sink" is.

I only ask myself then, why he finds that 400mA is much supply current, if he has no problems with it...
