I agree with Jan. Finally a simple suggestion.
If the number of operations over the engineered life of the product is within the relay specifications, then that is the optimum solution. If the number of devices is small then the cost of device compared to development is not significant. If the quantities are high then a 250V 10A device is available for < US$1.00. This is less than a solid state relay or a combination of triac, opto and associated components. For about US$8,00 a latching relay can be designed to your specifications and that amount is refunded to you once you purchase > 500k units. Good luck Tony |
