 		 #168126 - Mechnical Relay or Triac
Hi All,
For one of my p89v51rd2 based project, I need to control home appliance like Lights, Fan, bulb etc. Currently I am using 8 relays, for each device. The issue is when all relays are active, multi-meter reads 400mA, which is high for the project. From a practical perspective, would it be good idea to switch to triac. (Saftey, Power consumption, Space per unit, Price and Harmonics are my parameters, Saftey being topmost).
