I know no better source for product comparison (including price point) than http://www.digikey.com . I often buy there, but if the volume is significant I shop around for a better price of one or a few choices generated by the digikey search. I do, occasionally, in that case, end up with digikey being the lowest price.

TO THOSE ABROAD: I emphasize that even if buying from digikey is not an option (shipping, customs) the catalog is a good search engine.
