That's a guide to 8052 serial comms - not specifically a guide to using Hypoterminal.

I did make the same settings as shown in the guide.

But are those settings correct for your application?

BUt why is the data not displayed in echo mode in hyperterminal ??

Are you sure that Hypoterminal is in the 'Connected' state?

Hypoterminal does not echo character if transmission is blocked due to flow control.
