Did you use your oscilloscope to see if the transmitted data is reaching the end of the cable? Have you tried the loop-back direct on the connector of the PC's COM port? I used 9600 baud rate,8 bits ,1 stop bit no parity and flow control none.
Note that the baud rate, data bits, stop bits, and parity are irrelevant at this stage, since it is the same COM port that is both receiving & transmitting - so there cannot be any mis-match! |
