I did read the Rs232 guide http://www.8052.com/users/jonled/RS232gd.pdf to understand the proper use of hyperterminal program .
I did make the same settings as shown in the guide.
BUt I did not get any output on the screen on the loopback test.

Also When I turned on the echo mode to display the sent data ..even then there is no display!!..

I did check if my key board is connected to the computer and if it is working ad it does in office.

BUt why is the data not displayed in echo mode in hyperterminal ??
