I use Linux 100% of the time but I have to disagree with this statement. There are certainly a lot of special applications for Linux but by no means enough. There is no decent 8051 simulator or IDE for Linux for starters.
A small count OS will typically only have the large count apps and a small count app will typically only run unmder the large count OS. That's life. '51 tools are "small count", just think how many toolsets are sold for the '51 compared to how many are sold for the x86 (PC etc) Erik |
