However much the true believers preach the gospel, they are stiil a small minority and thus do not get tools that match their thingies.

We often see a wine (pun intended) about that small companies on limited budgets do not make a version for the 3 customers out of 500 that want a different version.

I understand perfectly well that e.g. Keil can not afford to make versions for 2 OSs and choose to make the tool for the most popu.. eh widespread system.

So, fess up or pay up. If you can make it feasible for Keil to make a Linux version e.g. by sending them $100.000, do so, but stop whining about a perfectly sound business decision taken by the toolmakers.
