#108193 - Did, and still do
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Steve,

My entire network, save two machines, is running Win98. And like the original poster I have no intention of changing as long as my computers do what I need done. As for always buying the latest and greatest software releases, I learned long ago that they can write new software a lot faster than I can pay for it. I get new software when I need to do something that my old software won't. Not before.

Oh, the two machines that aren't running Win98? One is running Win2k because that's what came with the machine when I bought it. The other is running Win95, and my CNC machine can't tell the difference.

As for Linux? If you like to work on motorcycles, buy a Harley Davidson. If you like to ride motorcycles buy something else. If you like to work on computers, run Linux. If you want to use computers, run something else.
