#108216 - given
Responding to: ???'s previous message
there is a 'we' here, but we are the IT staff, the customer support and the developers. As far as the IT functions go, we spend seconds / month on each machine (on average).

This, however, does not discount your experience (nor would I presume to do so). What I had wanted to do with my response is to show the level of 'professionalism' that linux now enjoys. I'm not a zealot, I don't give a rip what OS we use. We want to save money (read-make more money!) We have used or now use: win98/winXP/hp-ux/solaris (7, 8 and 9)/linux (sles 8 and 9).

As far as M. Malund's comments about Keil, etc., when did that become part of this discussion? I'm all about tools and not about platform. If I had to have a TRS-DOS or CPM/86 system to run the tool required for my job, that's what I would have. No true believer here :)
